insane woman kills promising young scientist

So i just watched episode 3 of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and was immediately struck by the sheer homicidal stupidity of Sarah Connor. Does she honestly think she can stop Judgment Day by killing scientists? At best she can postpone the event but even then it is unlikely.
So what is she doing? From the [...]

christopher nolan’s tribute to heath ledger

Here’s a tribute that Batman Begin’s and The Dark Knight Director Christopher Nolan wrote for Heath Ledger.
I think that this is the best i’ve read so far. It doesn’t eulogise him but rather talks about who he was as a person.
Very heartfelt. Very sad.

Granted, it is only mid January but the bar has been set pretty damn high.
Here’s my review of Cloverfield.
Here’s my review of Juno.
Very curious to hear your thoughts on both films so post comments dammit!

cloverfield review

When people stop me in the street (and they constantly do because i’m hella pretty) and ask me what i, a trusted internet journalist, thought of Cloverfield i tell them this.
It is the perfect monster movie.
Pretty straight forward. They want me to elaborate but i can feel an admiring crowd building so i move on [...]

juno review

Those who have read my Oscar post will know that i quite liked Juno. I may have actually announced my undying love for a certain female star of said film.

I want Juno to win this. I love Juno. The movie rocks. I’m totally crushing on Ellen Page (sorry Keryn). Despite this heaping of [...]

heath ledger

By the time everyone comes here they’ll probably already know this but i felt like putting it up anyway.
Heath Ledger has been found dead in his Soho apartment. The cause of death isn’t known as yet but the reports are suggesting it was a drug overdose.
This is pretty shocking. He was only 28. Bloody hell.

Happy New Year

Just realised that i hadn’t posted yet in 2008 (except that rather moody sounding post about work but i can bend time to my will so who really cares).
Happy New Year everyone.
Peace out.

the pain of it all

Todays marks the last day of my first week back at work.
I’m not enjoying it. It is easy at the moment but i’m having trouble coming to terms with the major shift in tone of how is spend my time.
I’ve gone from holiday high surrounded by friends and loved ones to sitting alone in an [...]
