M Branch
Formed in Great Britain in 1862, M Branch was created to investigate the increasing instance of people with enhanced abilities, otherwise known as meta-humans. M Branch began as an arm of Special Branch but became increasingly independent due to the rapid rise in the number of meta-humans.
M Branch became its own entity on 1942 by decree of Winston Churchill. He charged it with creating a team of meta-humans to counter similar groups being deployed in the field by both the Axis and US powers. Unlike these groups however, the M Branch force was to be a covert unit in no way to be seen as part of the Allied forces. They were not to be a British “Invadersâ€.
They are answerable only to the Prime Minister and to the Monarch.
M Branch continues to operate to this day.
