news just in: batman is awesome, other superheroes cower in fear
I’ll draw some flak for this but i don’t care because Batman is awesome and every other damned hero in the DCU should quake in fear that this being walks among them.
I watched a movie last night titled Justice League: The New Frontier. It is based on a graphic novel of the same name. I won’t go into a review at the moment but i enjoyed it. One moment stood out though.
(It needs to be noted before i go on that Martian Manhunter is very vulnerable to fire. It is his kryptonite)
Batman has an encounter with Martian Manhunter. They part on friendly terms but Batman lets Manhunter know just how much he trusts the martian.
Batman to Martian Manhunter: “I have a $70,000 piece of meteorite for the one in Metrolpolis. All i need for you is a penny packet of matches.”

Batman is awesome, and Neil is awesome. Therefore Neil = Batman?!

Watched it this morning. It was good.
Batman is indeed awesome. I remember the old 90’s - 00’s justice league series and Batman was the scariest hero.
I remember this one episode where this scientist had created an android that could mimic super powers. After it had taken every power from the justice league it turns and sees Batman.
“You have no powers.” It states
“You’re right. But I can think. And I think you do more then copy our strengths.” Whips out the ole kryptonite. The android weakens and then using the Flash’s power escape.
Hawkgirl sees Bats and says “You carry kryptonite around in your belt?”
“Call it insurance.”

I also remember a cartoon movie with Batman and Superman where Batman has some totally brilliant scenes with Superman.
In one scene he throws Superman across the room when Supes tries to stop him beating on some mob boss.
In another, Batman uses a tracker to follow Superman back to Clark Kent’s apartment where he learns the Man of Steel’s secret identity.
Truly, he is a brilliant character.
