seeing red

I thought i was one of the lucky ones.

Everyone i knew that had purchased an early version of the Xbox had lost theirs to this affliction. Statistically i thought i was safe.

I was wrong.

She’s not quite gone yet. Sometimes i turn the power on and it’s like there’s no problem at all. Those are good days. They’re few and far between at the moment though.

Part of me knows that it is only a matter of time. Part of me understands that eventually i’m going to have to pull the plug and pack her away. Understanding doesn’t make it any easier though.

Tonight will be the test. If there’s no improvement by tomorrow then there’s really only one option.

All i can do now is wait.

  • It will be OK, I’ve been there man. Just make her final days as comfortable as possible. I will help you pick out a nice spot in the backyard to bury her.

But seriously, from what I remember from when I called Microsoft, they have extended the warranty of the consoles that get 3 flashing red lights. So give them a call and you might get lucky and have it fixed it for free.
