Gah!
So i’ve done exactly what i said i woudn’t do by leaving my site postless for about a week. Didn’t take me long to blow that promise.
*sigh*
Oh well, i’ll just use the excuse that i’m working on content and improving the structure of my site. You guys’ll never know.
Having made that joke, i am actually working on content and trying to improve the structure of my site. Many thanks to the Neil and Dean for all their assistance.
One thing that has been occupying a bit of my time on this site is taking care of the spam. I went a week or so without any spam being posted in the comments of my posts. Then the floodgates opened. I’ve been offered everything from viagra to diplomas to nigerian gold. It really is quite amazing when you think about it. Thankfully wordpress has a plugin which filters all the spam so i’m not getting any emails asking me to approve the spam that’s being left on my posts.
Anyway, the time approaches when i should get ready to go to work so i’ll leave you with that. Hopefully i’ll get off of my electronic ass soon and post more than just my morning ramblings.

Booo, the spam war! That sucks. I haven’t encountered any spam on mine yet…*prepares*

Tell me about it. Thankfully the spam blocker is working. It’s called akismet and should be in the plugin section of wordpress. That’s where i found mine anyway.
I put it on yesterday and it has already got 7 spam in it. Mostly celeb scandals and pills. Nothing from Nigeria offering me much money and happy yet but i’m willing to wait for that kind of stuff.

SPAM WARS V - Spam strikes back.
Spam filters are good, but sooner or later spamers find a way through them and it can take weeks for the filters to adapt to new techiques.
Stupid vikings.
